Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick will hold a sod turning ceremony today to mark the beginning of the first Habitat home being constructed in the Town of Shediac.
The provincial government announces funding to support an innovative partnership between Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick and the Carpenter Millwright College of New Brunswick. This exciting new initiative will see the completion of four new affordable homes in Fredericton and also offer 15 students an opportunity to participate in a one-year carpentry program.

We are happy to share that Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick will be opening a Habitat ReStore in Miramichi this summer, while also building two more homes in the city.

The NB Housing Strategy: Housing for All was officially released on June 29, 2023. The strategy focuses upon preventing residents from becoming unhoused and identifies $500 million over three years in new and previously committed funding by the provincial government and its strategic partners such as Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick and Ability New Brunswick.
Habitat for Humanity makes affordable homeownership accessible by removing barriers that make owning a home impossible for many lower income working families. The generous support provided for Habitat for Humanity through this NB Housing Strategy will see a provincial commitment of $70,000 per Habitat home for 10 new house builds annually! We are so very grateful for this support and are pleased to see additional investments in affordable housing.
On June 15th, Habitat NB - along with many of our incredible partners, donors and volunteers - had the absolute privilege of officially welcoming four families into their new homes!
As of April 1st, 2023, Habitat for Humanity Saint John, Fredericton Area and Moncton officially amalgamated to become Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick!
